Oh no! Imagine that moment when you need to brows out an important information on your and your battery starts beeping and notifying you of low battery. Chai! That experience when you want to have a nice chat with someone so important or your boo and your phone just tripped off as a result of low battery. Honestly, a large number of people have missed some important occasions and seminars because of low phone battery. A friend of mine missed an important job interview just because his phone was switched of and he didn't get the SMS and email sent to him by his potential employers. In fact battery problem is very very worrysom and any phone without good battery is as useless as a brick. This is why I will give you some important tips to help extend your phone battery life no matter how bad it is. WHAT REALLY CAUSES YOUR PHONE BATTERY TO DRAIN FASTER? This is one important question that needs answer especially to the newbies on Android devices. Yes it's true that some batteries are better than others in capacity and durability but no matter how strong your battery is, if you don't apply the good and necessary measures, you won't get the best out of it. The major causes of fast battery discharge and draining are:- ==> Running many applications in background ==> Increasing your phone screen light ==> Increasing the display time of your screen to more than 1 minute ==> Installing too many apps ==> using too many chatting apps (all the chating apps uses live notification and this works in your phone background even without your knowledge) ==> Charging your battery with a non recommended charger or power source ==> Leaving your 3g network ON all the time even when not in use ==> using VPN apps for free browsing (yes all the VPN apps run in background and contributes to your battery draining too fast) ==> Not having a good battery app or task killer app on your phone ==> Not clearing cache files of some apps on your phone. etc If you hate to see those warning red signals on your phone for low battery, then use this steps to minimize it. This tutorial will not do magic for you ooo. But it will improve your battery performance to the nearest minimum. I have written posts on how to extend battery life of phones using battery doctor app and greenify but today I will be doing it with yet another task killing application that equally works good. Though phone manufacturers like Gionee, Infinix mobility and even Tecno have started producing nice smartphones with very good battery life, but some brothers and sisters here are still wallowing in the forest of bad phone batteries. Therefore you are reading this because you need your battery to start lasting longer than before. HOW WILL I MAKE MY SMARTPHONE BATTERY LAST LONGER? In this post, I am introducing an app called Advanced Task Killer (ATK). This app is a very important tool used to kill applications and clean phone memory. WHERE CAN I DOWNLOAD ATK? Download advanced task killer apk HOW TO USE ADVANCED TASK KILLER APP ATK is really simple to use. Just launch it after downloading and installing it, checkout all the running applications list. Uncheck some apps you don’t want to kill (such as Advanced Task Killer and some system apps) Now click the button Kill selected apps, it will kill all applications that you selected by checking the box. MANAGING IGNORE LIST Ignore list is a list of apps you don't want task killer to kill. These apps are mainly your system apps and few chat apps like Whatsapp. This is because, once the task killer kills Whatsapp, you will no longer receive Whatsapp message notifications but your messages will be there waiting for the time you launch your Whatsapp again. This is applicable to all other apps that uses notification. Like every other thing in life, there is always a disadvantage in every advantage. When you want to add or remove application from the list, you long press on the app listed on the main screen of ATK, the menu will pop up, then you can select Ignore, and the application would be moved to the apps ignore list. When you tap ‘Kill selected apps’, it won’t be killed those apps on ignore list. Other task killing apps and antivirus apps also have ignore list. USING AUTO KILL FEATURE? This is done when you want to kill background running apps automatically without long pressing them one after the other. Phone rooting is the act of breaking the stronghold that limits you from having access to some of your phones parts, settings and so on. It gives you superuser access and removes all software and firmware lock or restrictions on your smartphone thereby allowing you to tweak all type of system files that normally you wouldn't have done without rooting. Rooting your android phone comes with many benefits and few disadvantages that means the advantages derived from rooting ones phone cannot be overemphasized. Without much ado, let me take you through to the advantages, benefits and reason why you should root your phone. 1. Ads Blocking Have you ever downloaded an application that is filled with disturbing and unwanted Ads? Did you notice how annoying the apps pops out periodically on your phone's screen? If you have experienced this, you will know that its very hard to block those Ads in your phone without having root access. Rooting your phone will make it much easier to block all those unwanted Ads with the help of one of these Ads blocking apps; Adaway or Adfree 2. Custom ROMs Installation Though in few android devices, you don't really need to root your phone before flashing and installing a custom ROM but in many android devices you need to unlock the bootloader which means bypassing the restriction placed on the phone and giving it a superuser access which is rooting. Installing custom ROM is one of the best and interesting benefits of rooting your phone. Some phone products like Tecno don't normally have the OTA (Over The Air) android version upgrade and there is no other way that particular tecno phone user can have an update to the latest version of firmware without rooting the phone, having superuser access and flashing or installing a custom ROM of that new firmware version he wants to use in his or her phone. An example is someone that is using an older Tecno or let me say Gionee M2 which runs on android Jelly bean version; knowing that there is no OTA update provided by the manufacturers for these two devices except for Gionee M2 where you can only upgrade with the use of PC. But rooting gives you access to easily flash and install custom higher version ROM like the KitKat in the phone that came with Jelly bean version. 3. Custom Recovery Backup This is a prototype of PCs system restore point. It lets you backup your android phone at the exact state it was when you are backing up. This means if you back up your android with any of the well known custom recovery apps like ClockWorkMode (CWM), TWRP orthe Philztouch, your phone will return to its exact state whenever you restores the backup just like the way PC restore point does and this cannot be done without having root access. Custom recovery backup is very essential and handy when you get your phone bricked and malfunctioned. All you do is to fall back to your backup file and restore your phone to its previous good working state. 4. Tweaking The Untweakable In Your Phone Root access makes you the boss and controller in general of anything and i repeat anything you can think of. There is no more limit to the settings you can apply but you should be mindful of how you tweak system files. Tweak if you are really sure of what you are doing but before carrying out any tweaking that you are not very sure or familiar with, kindly do a custom ClockWorkMode CWM backup so that you can easily restore your phone if you damage anything. Rooting lets you tweak how your android keyboard appears, how it looks and how it funtions using an App called Keyboard manager or its alternative. 5. Access To All Applications There are some apps that doesn't work at all and there are ones that doesn't work well on unrooted phones like Greenify, Spoofer, Root explorer, Exposed Explorer, Mobile Uncle, Lucky Patcher, Viper and bunch of many apps. With unrooted phone, some of the app features can't work at all so rooting your phone gives you access to download and enjoy all available android apps 6. Customizing Your Phone's User Interface (UI) Some android phones and versions comes with bulky and ugly user interface that may be a turn off for you. Some of the preinstalled apps might not be even needed by you so tell me how you can uninstall the system pre-installed apps on android without having root access. Some of this unwanted apps stay there and consume space meant for important apps that you like. Not only that they consume storage space, they are also helping in draining your phone battery and makes your phone runs slower. So root your phone and get rid of those unwanted apps 7. Boosts Your Phone's Battery Life If you always complain about your smartphone battery always draining fast, then sit back, think and consider rooting that phone. There are some hiding battery saving tweaks that can be applied to only rooted devices. Some great battery saving apps like battery doctor, due battery saver and the likes have some features that unrooted devices can't apply. 8. Hibernation Do you know that your phone can hibernate just like the way your laptop does? You can actually hibernate your background running apps so that you will save yourself some battery life and give your device overall improved performance and smoothness. This can be achieved by installing greenify app. It cannot hibernate your apps if your phone is not rooted. 9. Change Font Of Your Android Phone Rooting gives you total access and privilege to do away with the font style that came with your smartphone. You can use an app likeiFont to customize and install your desired font style to be used on your device. Well, let me stop here for now. You can see from the above listed benefits that rooting is very very important if you really want to have total control of your android phone and if you want your android phone to perform much better. It makes you the boss over your phone. NOTE: Rooting your phone automatically voids your warranty and you can brick your phone in the process that's why it is important to run a CWM backup before you start the process.

Ntel Begins Commercial Sales Of 0804 Lines April 8

The newest telecommunication industry in town Ntel has finally planned the rollout plans for the sales of their SIM cards. You can remember that just last month, Ntel offered Nigerians the option to claim a number via their website and they will be the first nigeria telecom to produce HD VIDEO CALLS to its users According to the statement from ntel, “We are rolling out physical sites in three cities on our 900MHz and 1800MHz bands to launch Voice over LTE come April 8, 2016. We have signed agreements with trade partners and fulfilled all licence authorisations and payments and we are up-to-date and there are no impediments to our launch,” he said. Abass said Natcoms Investments Limited, the parent company of ntel has projected over $1 billion investments over the next four years, for its rollout plan, which he said, would be in phases. To ensure smooth take off of its mobile network rollout plan, ntel has completed the construction of Tier III Datacentre as well as reactivation of SAT-3 submarine international fibre optic cable. Natcoms had last year paid $252.52 million to acquire the assets of the defunct first national operator (NITEL), to begin commercial operation on its mobile network. Noting that despite the growth of the telecoms sector in Nigeria which has seen voice subscriptions rise from less than 60,000 in 2001 to over 147 million as at 2015, he expressed fears that broadband usage has only grown by 20 per cent. He said NATCOM has come to fill the gap bringing Nigerians unfettered access to full mobile broadband both on voice and data services. “Over the next four and half years, the total number of mobile broadband customers alone will be greater than all of the customers that have come into the market on mobile since its inception. In other words, we are at a point where a major transformation is in the making. You will see 168 million mobile broadband customers coming into existence between now and the end of 2019, which is more than all the mobile customers in both narrow and broadband that we have seen in the last 15 years.” “That sounds like an enormous transformation. When it comes to the supply of broadband services, we are unique because we have more spectrum which can deliver more output than any network available today and potentially any network in the future. The spectrum we have has unique features which can not be compared with any other spectrum band,” Abass said.
