COEASU begins indefinite strike in MOCPED
Early today, Members of Colleges of Education Academic Staff Union (COEASU) of Micheal Otedola College of Primary Education (MOCPED) Epe lagos have begun an indefinite strike over what an official said were efforts to "salvage the institutions from total collapse".
Its was gather from my source that, The college lecturers are concerned over the collapsing of MOCPED degree affiliate programme with EKSU. Imagine, using a year for one semester, haba wetin nah? Not only that, The college management are yet to pay members of college academic staff there Full salaries after approval by government in 2013.
Another vital issues that leads to this strike is the Failure of the management to pay her 50% arrears, benefits of retired & deceased members are yet to be paid.
An official of COAESU, who does not want to be named also reported that over 40 months unremited pension to PFA and unremitted taxes also leads to there strike.
However, I hope the MOCPED college management resolve this issues ASAP and call off the strike.
