WHAT IS CWM?
CWM stands for ClockworkMod and its a well known custom recovery for Android devices and tablets developed by Koushik Dutta (Koush) – who is an icon in the android development community. CWM recovery lets you to carry out different advanced restoration, recovery, installation and maintenance operations on your Android smartphones which were not achievable on the stock recovery which your android phone comes with.

ClockworkMod recovery flashing is one of the best way to root some stubborn phones, create a backup for your device data, install and flash several custom ROMs, kernels, themes, mods, etc. 

Meanwhile, android tweaking, customization and ha..cking can be a daunting task for newbies in the android platform. So i am committed to carrying everyone along by writing this simplified article on what CWM means and how to flash CWM recovery image on all Tecno phones both new and old ones.

Once you have downloaded the tecno recovery image you want to download, place it the the root of your SD Card (not in any folder)


3: The next thing is to install and Launch that recovery tools (Flasher) you downloaded in step one and grant it Superusers privilege when prompted. By now you must have rooted your phone.

4: Click on "I know the risk" option, and choose "other recovery option".

5: Scroll and select the "ClockworkMod recovery image" you saved to your SD card root, then tap on ''Yes'',


 6:.Once you complete the procedures above, You should see "Recovery Flashed", and a question will come up asking you to reboot into recovery mode? Just select Yes please. At this point, you will now be able to see CWM recovery in place of the stock recovery your device came with.

7: From there you can backup your current ROM by navigating to "Backup and restore"
