This same thing happened in the year 2013 when a similar glitch at mtn made people to get free 7.5gb data on their sim cards and those data were wiped the next day. Only those that shared theirs were saved so that's why am bringing up this solution for those that still have their free data this 2016 intact to avoid stories that touches the heart ♥.
This method can also be applied if you have gotten or bought a lot of data and wished to share with someone. So follow the process below to share your MTN data plan to other numbers
STEPS TO SHARE THE 7.5GB MTN DATA
TO ANYBODY
==> Dial *131# and reply 2, then
reply 1 to register
==> Now dial *131*2*5# after
registering to change pin.
==> Then also dial *131*2*2# to add a beneficiary
(Beneficiaries are those phone numbers you
wish to share your data with, remember you are limited to add only 5 numbers but you can change the numbers any time you wish to).
==> Finally dial *131*2*3# to share after you have added the beneficiaries.
With this you can share your Internet data to anyone and by so doing, your free data will not be touched.
